How to apply

As part of your online application we will ask that you upload the following documentation: 

• University degree certificate / transcript
• Curriculum Vitae / Résumé

Assessment

Once submitted, your application will be assessed by an academic in the relevant field. You will be notified of the outcome within a week of submission. 

Acceptance

If successful, you will be emailed an offer and details of how to accept it. For offers made more than 8 weeks before the course start date, a place on the course is guaranteed for 14 days, and is confirmed upon full payment of tuition fees. Fee payments must be received within this time, otherwise your place will be made available to new applicants. For offers made within 8 weeks of the course start date, immediate payment is required to guarantee your place. By accepting your offer, you also agree to our terms and conditions.

Confirmation

Once notified that your place is confirmed you can begin making plans for your time at LSE. Pre-course reading materials (if any) will be made available to confirmed participants from two weeks prior to the start of each course.

Cancellation by us

Occasionally it is necessary to cancel or postpone courses. Should a course be subject to a major change, applicants will be offered the option to either transfer to another course or receive a full refund. Any alterations to the programme will be made in writing no less than three weeks before the start of the programme.

If you are coming from abroad, you are strongly advised to take out comprehensive travel insurance for the duration of your stay.

Cancellation by you

• Cancellations made at least 46 days before the start of the course will be refunded in full, less a £100 application fee.
• Cancellations made between 45 and 31 days before the start of the course will receive a 75% refund.
• Cancellations made between 30 and 15 days before the start of the course will receive a 50% refund.
• Cancellations made less than 15 days before the start of the course will not be refunded.

Executive Education Courses are taught to the School's high standard and are therefore academically rigorous. Participants are expected to be fluent in English, with a good first degree in a relevant subject. 

As an executive programme, experience in the workplace is a key requirement. Most of our participants have more than 10 years' experience but we will consider fast-track candidates with a minimum of two years' professional experience. Additionally, some courses have specific prerequisites which are listed in the course description. 

Requirements in brief

Please note that the LSE is unable to offer any form of financial assistance or scholarship for its executive education short courses, aside from the discounts listed below. 

Offer holders can have one of the following discounts applied to their tuition fees.

        1.       Multi-course discount

If enrolling onto two courses, a discount of 20% will be applied, at the time of booking, to the course with the lower tuition fee. If enrolling onto three courses, the two courses with the lowest tuition fees will have the 20% discount applied. To be eligible for this multi-course discount, the courses must be booked and paid for at the same time.

        2.       Alumni

Where the offer holder is (i) a graduate of the LSE, or has in a previous session completed a course at the (ii) the LSE Summer School, (iii) LSE Methods Summer Programme or (iv) LSE Executive Summer School, a discount of 15% of the tuition fee will be applied. This is subject to production of suitable evidence. Please see Exclusions below, for a list of courses which cannot be discounted.

        3.       Groups

Where a single employer provides three or more participants to the programme, a discount of 10% of the tuition fee for each offer holder will be applied. In the case of courses excluded from discounting, the 10% discount will be applied to the eligible courses only.

        4.       Exclusions

The following courses are excluded from the discount policy:

• Achieving Leadership Excellence 
• Strategic Decision Making for Management 

Alumni and Group discounts cannot be applied against these courses.

Other discounts or group arrangements should be discussed with the Programme Manager.
