Student life

The Students' Union represents LSE students and aims to ensure that your time at the School is not just about studying but is also as enjoyable as possible. The Union organises entertainment and funds over 150 student societies covering a wide range of interests. These societies add a huge amount to students’ experience of LSE and of London. The variety of societies and activities change with the interests and initiative of each new group of students; an A-Z listing of the current student societies can be found on the Students' Union website|.

Chile Society

Chile is a small but proud Latin American country. After 17 years of authoritarian rule, the country has experienced an economic, political and cultural renaissance during the 1990s and 2000s. Chileans are committed to ending poverty, fight inequalities and joining the developed countries club by 2020, despite the fact that since 2009 Chile has been a member of the OECD. The Society aims at congregating all of those interested in the politics, economics, social and cultural particularities of this country very rich in peculiar traditions, dances and gastronomy.
