Student life

The Students' Union represents LSE students and aims to ensure that your time at the School is not just about studying but is also as enjoyable as possible. The Union organises entertainment and funds over 150 student societies covering a wide range of interests. These societies add a huge amount to students’ experience of LSE and of London. The variety of societies and activities change with the interests and initiative of each new group of students; an A-Z listing of the current student societies can be found on the Students' Union website|.

Albanian Society

The Albanian Society here at the LSE aims to open a window of information for those interested in Albanian culture, tradition, history and current affairs. Through public lectures with invited VIPs, book launches, cocktail and dinner parties, joint events with other societies and organisations, trips, picnics and festivals, we aim to bring students together from various backgrounds, to promote collaboration in the Balkan region and to encourage intercultural understanding here at the LSE and beyond.  We have organised high profile public lectures such as with the president of Kosovo, Dr Sejdiu; speaker of Albanian Parliament, Mrs Jozefina Topalli; and foreign minister of Albania, Lulzim Basha, amongst others.
