About the MSc programme
This programme provides state-of-the-art training in global population health, from a substantive, technical and policy perspective. You will analyse policy and research addressing a variety of issues, including: population health needs (current and future); determinants of population health; global health policy debates; research skills for analysing and planning for population and health.
At the end of this degree you will be able to critically understand issues that global populations face, such as ageing and its health consequences, the double burden of disease and malnutrition and the future health expenditure; the effect of environment to health; and the relationship of international migration and health. Potential employers are national and international organisations in public, private and non-profit sectors.
This unique master’s programme offers a population health dimension in the study of global health. It combines developments in disease epidemiology, health policy and health financing and economics to illuminate pertinent issues in population health. It has a global focus and represents a shift from the core interests in population and health to a multidimensional approach.
