About the Executive MPA

The Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA) brings together experts from across LSE to prepare students to meet the policy challenges of tomorrow. The curriculum emphasises a core set of skills in economics, policy evaluation and political science, and shows how these can be applied to analyse policies in a broad range of geographies and settings.

This programme is aimed at people in full-time employment and offers week-long intensive courses and long weekend Policy in Practice Workshops. In addition to required compulsory courses you are able to choose between a number of option courses, allowing you to customise your curriculum according to your personal and professional interests. This high-quality, interdisciplinary programme has been designed to meet the needs of those in both the public and private sectors, and other sectors involved with major public policy decisions, who are seeking career progression, career transition or senior level effectiveness.
