How do I change my application from part-time to full-time study or vice versa?

Please note than not all courses are available for part-time study - consult individual programme pages. Part-time registration is intended only for those who need to spread their studies over a longer period because of outside commitments.

Due to visa restrictions, it is not usually possible for applicants from outside the EU to study part-time.

If you are a MPhil/PhD student further restrictions apply. Documentary evidence will be required before we can allow you to register as a part-time student. You will be eligible to register if you are in one or more of the following categories:

  • employed or self-employed in London for at least 15 hours a week in normal office hours
  • registered as unemployed and are over 25 years old
  • retired from regular employment
  • with children under school age or if you are the main carer for an elderly or disabled person
  • a full-time member of staff of the School

Taught (MSc) students can apply to study the course part-time provided it is offered in this mode - consult individual programme pages. Students from outside the EU are still subject to any visa restrictions. For MSc Finance FT/PT please complete the new programme choice form.

If you are an MPhil/PhD applicant wishing to change to part-time study, you must send us documentary evidence of your eligibility (e.g. a letter from your employer) before the change can be approved. Please use the new information form to do this.
