How can I apply to the programme?
Complete the application form and return it to the international office of your Laureate institution.
Once I have submitted my application what is the next step?
Your international office will contact you regarding your application and whether you have been selected.
What happens when I have been selected?
A member of the LSE team will contact you with further information about the programme. You will be required to complete a form with your personal details and provide us with an electronic ID photo in order for us to create your LSE IT & library cards. Before departing for the programme, you will be sent a pre-arrival pack with more information about the programme and London generally.

How do I pay the tuition fee?
The student does not pay the tuition fee at LSE. Please consult the international office at your institution about the fee amount and payment procedure.
How much does living in London cost?
London is suitable for all budgets. One of the most expensive components of your stay is accommodation and transport. You may find the guides given on the following websites useful. (LSE is not responsible for the information given at these links.)
How do I organise my accommodation?
Previous participants have stayed in the accommodation below. Please contact the accommodation provider directly for availability and prices. Accommodation in London is highly sought. Make sure that you leave plenty of time to find somewhere to stay as places fill up quickly.
When I arrive
What information will I receive before my arrival?
You will receive a pre-arrival pack two weeks before your arrival which will include directions from the airport, a programme schedule and outline, contact details and logistical information.
How do I need to prepare for the course?
You will be advised to familiarise yourself with current EU and UK debates. We recommend that you read BBC News. This also contains glossaries of key terms. In addition, a selection of pre-readings will be available for participants.
What is the schedule for the first day?
You will receive an induction to the programme at LSE. This will include:

About the programme
How many hours do I have to study?
In addition to your lessons you will need to complete three to five hours a day of private study. You will be required to complete 15 hours of taught classes per week during Part 1 (M1 – M3) and full time (9am – 5pm) during Part 2 (M4 & M5). Pre-reading is required for all seminars and lectures. In addition you may be required to prepare topics or presentations related to the seminar themes.
What is the format of the programme?
The programme is divided into three sections. Part 1 comprises three academic modules; Business Development, Strategic International Marketing and Economics in Global Public Policy over the ten weeks. In Part 2 you will undertake two more modules at LSE over four weeks, excluding the Easter holiday; Professional Development and Business Project Analysis. In those modules you will focus on applying your knowledge and gaining practical skills to prepare you for your professional career. In Part 3, you will be placed in an internship for 12 weeks.
How will the course be assessed?
As part of the formal assessment of the programme, you will be required to complete the following tasks. Formal credits will be awarded by Universidad Europea. You must attend at least 90% of classes to pass the programme.
Part 1: Academic Programme: you will be assessed on two essays of 3000 words for M1 and M3 as well as a group project and final presentation for M2. In addition you will be requested to complete class tasks as assigned.
Part 2: Applied Programme: for M4 you will be assessed on your group project and final presentation. For M5 you are required to complete a 2000 word essay. In Business Project Analysis, you will work in teams to complete the tasks outlined including a group report and a group presentation. For the Professional Development Module you will complete one typed essay of 2000 words.
Part 3: Internship: Your grade will be in the form of Pass/No-Pass. Your company will issue a letter at the end of your work placement stating that you have completed the internship.
LSE Custom Programmes will provide successful students who have met the minimum level of attendance and completed the various assessment tasks with a Certificate of Achievement and transcript. These will be distributed by Universidad Europea.
I am a non-European student, can I still do the programme and internship?
You will require a study visit visa to undertake this programme, which you will need to apply for before the programme starts. You can find more information on this page (https://www.gov.uk/study-visit-visa). Unfortunately, you won't be able to undertake the internship component with this visa.
What if I have a problem?
The Academic Coordinator will act as your teaching mentor and is your first port of call if you have any difficulty with a topic or a class. He will help you overcome the issues and may refer you to extra lessons or readings.
What LSE facilities can I use?
What facilities will I be able to access?
All participants will have access to the library and LSE intranet which includes access to the LSE online learning environment, Moodle. In addition you will receive a LSE student card which will allow you to access the campus buildings and provide you with a discount at some retailers.
The LSE library will be your first port of call to access materials. In addition, you will be able to access a large library of journals electronically from both campus and home. If you do not have a laptop, the LSE has several computer rooms which you can access around campus. In addition, LSE has laptop areas and study rooms which you are welcome to use.
