The fourth Masterclass for 2016, Inequality: Why is it happening and where is it going?, will take place in Madrid from Monday 28 to Wednesday 30 November 2016 at the Fundación Ramón Areces.
Throughout the three days, participants will examine inequalities through a lens which places national specificity in a wider international frame to understand its impact on individuals, society and the economy.
The first day will focus on inequality and the contemporary capitalism. It’ll debate which ones are the elites in this new capitalism, and the opposite on precarity and austerity.
The second day will focus on the political decentralisation existing in the current political parties and how this can affect the society.
To finalise the Masterclass, the final day will explore the new trends on inequality to fully understand where it is going, it’ll focus on its drivers and causes why, and possible solutions.
