Spain, the EU and USA: What future do they have in the new global economy?

The fourth Masterclass for 2015, Spain, the EU and USA: What future do they have in the new global economy?, will take place in Madrid from Monday 14 to Wednesday 16 December 2015 at the Fundación Ramón Areces.

This Masterclass will examine the global shifts in the economic balance of power have seen a significant rise in emerging markets, particularly in Asia and Latin America.   Many countries have been able to take advantage of this for historical, linguistic and cultural reasons as Spain and the USA in Latin America and the UK in Asia and Africa.  But now these economies are major powers in their own right, so how will a multi-polar political economy play out globally? What is the USA´s role in global international relations and political economy – will it continue to dominate or play a different role?  What will the post-Obama USA see as this role, and who might be in power?
