Prospective SADC participants must pay a non-refundable application fee of 500 ZAR in order to be considered for entry to the LSE-UCT July School. The application fee is paid directly to the University of Cape Town (see 'How to pay' below). The payment must be received by the deadline given on the offer email (usually four weeks from the date of offer), or the offered place may be made available to another candidate. These timescales may be shortened closer to the start of the LSE-UCT July School.

How to pay

The University of Cape Town (UCT) coordinates and receives the application and tuition fee payments for all SADC participants. Participants can pay either by electronic funds transfer (EFT) or by credit/debit card (full details are available on the SADC Payment Form).

Download the SADC Payment Form

It is also possible for fees to be paid by a third party, or for an invoice to be arranged for an employer, university or scholarship provider to make a payment, provided that sufficient notice is given to facilitate payment within the agreed deadlines. Full receipts are provided for all payments.

Under no circumstances will it be permitted for a participant to attend the LSE-UCT July School if their fees have not been paid in full in advance. Please also note that the tuition fee does not include the cost of travel, accommodation, insurance or living costs.
