Shose Kessi
Lecturer at University of Cape Town

[Psychology@LSE Alumni 2003 - 2007]

"The best thing about the Department of social psychology is the diversity of backgrounds and academic interests which makes for an exciting and dynamic environment, where research is being conducted in creative and innovative ways.

Initially I was anxious about going back to studying after a long break but the Department provided appropriate support and guidance and the emphasis on critical thinking opened up a whole new world of possibilities in my area of work and beyond. The Department has been highly rated for its academic provision and my experience here most definitely lives up to that billing

After the MSc, I was fortunate to get an ESRC quota studentship which has given me the opportunity to start a PhD and engage in researching something that I am passionate about and that I believe can contribute to positive social change."
