  • 18th December 2013 - Dr Lucia Garcia was invited to give a talk on her research on  'The unemployment Condition' at the Social Psychology Department at the Universidad del Pais Vasco, Spain.
  • 3rd December 2013 - Dr Lucia Garcia was the invited speaker at the Winter Workshop of the Knowledge and Innovation Network  KIN @Warwick University on the topic: "Why change does not stick in organizations: a social psychologist perspective". KIN is part of the IKON research network based at Warwick Business School. This network carries out funded research projects in the fields of innovation, information technology and organization studies.
  • 29th November 2013 - Dr Garcia gave a seminar on 'Creative resistance and unemployment"  to the research and academic staff at the Social and Organizational Psychology Department at the Universidad de la Laguna, Canary Islands, Spain.

  • World Economic Forum Latin America Professor Sandra Jovchelovitch is to be one of the main speakers at the World Economic Forum on Latin America, which took place in Lima, Peru, on . The eighth Latin America gathering will bring together over 500 global and regional business leaders, heads of state and government and ministers, as well as leaders from media, academia and civil society. Professor Jovchelovitch will participate in the main session “Weaving the Social Fabric”.   • 23rd November 2013 - Dr Ilka Gleibs was an invited speaker at the LSESU - UCL Economics Conference. She presented “A dynamic analysis of the relationship between money, social relations and happiness”. The conference played host to a number of eminent figures from the world of academia, economics and finance and is one of the largest student - run economics conferences in Britain. Each year it brings together students, academics and professionals to discuss contemporary issues for the world economy.

  • 20 November 2013- Ateneo de Manila University's Social Psychology Action Research Lab (SPARL), in collaboration with the Office of the Dean of Social Sciences and the Department of Psychology, hosted a two-day talk series by Social Psychology Professor Saadi Lahlou from the London School of Economics and Political Science.   • “Growing up with HIV in Africa” brings together interdisciplinary researchers and practitioners to discuss current research and practice modalities and challenges concerning children affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa. Supported by the Psychology@LSE, the LSE Annual Fund, and Save the Children UK, the conference and subsequent journal special issue in Children and Youth Services Review will bring together over 50 participants from 10 countries working in this important area of HIV/AIDS research.   • 9th October 2013 - How to capture and analyze data from a subjective perspective.  Professor Saadi Lahlou: "We presented the state of the art in digital first person data capture, with emphasis of video. Ample time will be left to discussion and considerations on what these techniques could bring to the respective works of the participants." Discourse Lab seminar.
