Biography of Speaker(s) Wolfgang Wagner is Professor at Johannes Kepler University, Austria. His research is on societal psychology, cultural knowledge, popularisation of science, racism, fundamentalism, and social representation theory.

Using social representation theory and psychological essentialism it is shown how intergroup politics subtly constructs and deconstructs social identities and prejudice.
