Jacqueline Priego-Hernández made an academic visti to Rio de Janeiro, under the auspices of the LSE/Santander Travel Fund.
Three main activities drove the trip. First, Jacqueline joined the discussion in one of the meetings of the Underground Sociabilities research project, led by Professor Sandra Jovchelovitch, in which Jacqueline has been involved during 2010. Secondly, she had the opportunity to discuss aspects of her doctoral research with Professor Angela Arruda, who generously provided insightful feedback and fruitful ideas for further development.
Finally, a two-day workshop on qualitative analysis was conducted at the Instituto de Psicologia, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Research staff and postgraduate students attended the workshop, which helped Jacqueline to strengthen her teaching and facilitation skills. She regards the visit as an amazing experience and is extremely thankful for the feedback, knowledge and contacts gained.
