HEPM Miami Event 2017

Big Issues in Health Policy

From the 28th to the 30th of April LSE Health and Cleveland Clinic will host ‘Big Issues in Health Policy’ at the at The Ritz Carlton Hotel, South Beach, Miami. The event will:

  • Analyze developments in randomized control trials
  • Review Obamacare with an eye to progress made and the future
  • Understand how pharmaceutical purchases contribute to healthcare costs and how these relate to the global industry incentives
  • Understand how different incentives affect innovation and costs
  • Network with other individuals who aim to influence health policy
  • Provide continuous medical training for medical professionals that speaks to the major issues in health policy being encountered today
  • Identify how changes in immigration policy may affect the health workforce: BREXIT, the EU and the USA

‘Big Issues in Health Policy’, will bring together professionals from the healthcare industry, and will feature speakers who are prominent academics from the London School and MDs from Cleveland Clinic, including:

About

The event is a forum where we will discuss, debate and engage on the issues that are the most pressing for the health industry. This is the first event of its kind. It will be led by expert LSE Health faculty. The event will also  feature invited speakers from leading institutions in the USA, as well as LSE Health alumni.

Accreditation

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of The Cleveland Clinic Foundation Center for Continuing Education and the London School of Economics.  The Cleveland Clinic Foundation Center for Continuing Education is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Cleveland Clinic Foundation Center for Continuing Education designates this live activity for a maximum of 14.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM.   Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Participants claiming CME credit from this activity may submit the credit hours to the American Osteopathic Association for Category 2 credit.

The ticket price includes attendance to all conference events and some meals. Accommodation is not included in the cost.
