Questions such as how important are dietary patterns for mortality improvements in conditions of poverty, or do life style factors matter in health and mortality transition in developing countries have been addressed in past and present research projects. More recently, I have been interested in assessing the socio-demographic consequences of large scale conflict, with particular focus on two Balkan countries: Kosovo and Bosnia-Herzegovina. The main regional areas of research have been the Balkans (incl. Albania, Kosovo, and B-H) and more recently India.
See research collaborations page for list of countries that our research group covers.
