LSE100 is taken by all students in the Lent Term of Year 1 and the Michaelmas Term of Year 2. The course is compulsory but does not affect the final degree classification.

This programme constitutes a qualifying law degree (QLD). QLDs are recognised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board as meeting the requirements for completing the academic stage of legal education for solicitors or barristers.
