Distinction/Merit borderline (scheme paragraph 5.3.2): Classification for students with mark profiles falling into this range will be determined according to the following local rule: For a Distinction, students must gain a mark of at least 60% in the dissertation (GY499) |

Merit/Pass borderline (scheme paragraph 5.3.4): Classification for students with mark profiles falling into this range will always be determined to the advantage of the student. |
