Distinction/Merit borderline (scheme paragraph 5.3.2): Classification for students with mark profiles falling into this range will always be determined to the advantage of the student. Classification for students with mark profiles falling into this range will always be determined according to the following local rule: to be awarded a Distinction students must gain 2.0 units x 70%+ and 2.0 units x 65%+ |

Merit/Pass borderline (scheme paragraph 5.3.4): Classification for students with mark profiles falling into this range will always be determined to the advantage of the student. Classification for students with mark profiles falling into this range will always be determined according to the following local rule: to be awarded a Merit students must gain 1.0 unit x 70%+, 1.0 unit x 60%+, and 2.0 units x 55%+ |
