Anni Kajanus is a specialist in the anthropology of China. She has carried out multi-sited fieldwork around China and in Europe, as well as long term fieldwork in Beijing and in Nanjing. Her research has focused on education in China and the engagement of China in the international education market; on the transformation of the Chinese gender and family systems; and most recently, on cooperation and competition in child development
