Eddie’s research interests lie in the fields of macroeconomics and quantitative finance. Of particular interest to his research are the interactions and linkages between financial markets and the macroeconomy. This includes topics such as credit cycles, financial intermediation theory,financial crises, risk management, and business cycles.

His research has a strong policy focus, in particular on monetary, fiscal, and financial/macroprudential policy.
