Research summary > [Click to expand]

My research interests are older persons’ health, long-term care and intergenerational support exchanges. The aim of my PhD thesis was to shed light on the impact of (reforms in) formal long-term care arrangements on the support that adult children provide to ageing parents. My current research focus is on the effects on health and wellbeing of receipt and provision of intergenerational support and how these effects vary by gender and across contexts.
