Dr Ker-Lindsay's research focuses on issues relating to security, peace and conflict in South East Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean. In particular, he has carried out detailed analyses of a number of regional peace processes, such as the efforts to reunify Cyprus, the Kosovo status process and Greek-Turkish rapprochement.

In terms of other areas of research, he has worked on the ways in which the United Nations and the European Union can manage conflict, EU enlargement (particularly as it relates to Turkey and the Western Balkans) and on the governance and politics of the Republic of Cyprus.
