Joachim Wehner is Lecturer in Public Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He is also a member of the Political Science and Political Economy (PSPE) research group and the Public Policy Group (PPG). Joachim obtained a PhD in Government from the LSE in 2007. Previously, he worked as a policy analyst at the Institute for Democracy in South Africa (Idasa). He has also worked as a consultant for the World Bank, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and other organisations. His research interests include public budgeting, fiscal policy, legislatures, decentralisation, as well as governance and politics in Africa. He teaches Public Budgeting and Financial Management (GV4E4).
