Short bio >

My principal research interest lies in the consideration of reflection as a means of developing an individual’s understanding of the teaching/learning experience. My work is broadly interpretivist and uses data coding systems drawn from Grounded Theory to form a social constructivist understanding of what it means to find oneself acting and reacting within a teaching and learning environment. My publications are, therefore, mainly deliberations on how social phenomena develop in educational contexts. I would say that my research seeks to enhance the teaching and learning experience through emphasising the role and worth of individuals within the educational environment.
