Research summary > [Click to expand]

I hold an MSc in Organisational Psychology from the University of Manchester Science & Technology and a PhD in Psychology applied to Medicine from Imperial College London. Until recently, I worked as a postdoctoral Research Associate in Psychology at Imperial College within the field of quality of care and patient safety. My PhD examined the roles and powers of acute care managers in quality and patient safety. Prior to my time at Imperial, I worked at the University of Exeter implementing an applied behavioural analysis programme to improve safety in the quarrying sector. In my research, I apply organisational, behavioural, health and social psychology into practice, particularly in the areas of organisational, home, employee, patient and passenger safety, and quality improvement. My other interests include inter-group differences and the powers held by different individuals and groups impacted upon by organisational hierarchies.
