Dr Lang's research covers all aspects of the law of the World Trade Organisation, as well as the international law of foreign investment. His current projects are focussed on a number of themes around global economic governance, including the relationship between law and expert knowledge, international law and economics, and sociological approaches to the study of international economic law.

He has a continuing research focus on the WTO’s Subsidies, TBT and SPS Agreements, including the particular issues raised under the latter agreement by Russia’s accession to the WTO.

Short bio >

Andrew has a combined BA/LLB degree from the University of Sydney, receiving the University Medal in both degrees. He holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge, from where, he greaduated in May 2005. From 2004-2006, he was the Gott Research Fellow in Law at Trinity Hall, at the University of Cambridge. In March 2009, Andrew was a Visiting Fellow at the Institute of International Economic Law at Georgetown University School, and in Jan-Mar 2010 was an International Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Sydney.
