Shorts Night: whose utopia?

Frontline Club LSE Literary Festival film screening

LSE Literary Festival is delighted to partner once again with Shorts at the Frontline Club (@frontlineclub) which showcases moving, striking and funny films, exploring the different faces of nonfiction filmmaking. Join us for an evening of short documentaries exploring what 'utopia' means for different communities in different parts of the world.

Each night in Silicon Valley, the Line 22 transforms from a public bus into an unofficial shelter for the homeless. This film captures one dramatic night on the Hotel 22 bus.

Luchadora

Luchadora

Luchadora follows Luna Mágica - an aging professional Lucha Libre Wrestling star who dreams of becoming World Wrestling Champion while struggling to make ends meet as a single mom in Mexico City and regain custody of her son who was taken by her estranged husband who claims she is unfit to be a mother because of her profession as a luchadora.

This event forms part of the LSE Space for Thought Literary Festival 2016, taking place from Monday 22 - Saturday 27 February 2016, with the theme 'Utopias'.

All events in the Festival are free to attend and open to all.  E-tickets can be booked via LSE online store (Product Catalogue - Conference and Events).

This event has been certified for CPD purposes by the CPD Certification Service. Self-Assessment Record forms will be made available for delegates wishing to record further learning and knowledge enhancement for Continuing Personal and Professional Development (CPD) purposes. For delegates who wish to obtain a CPD Certificate of Attendance, it is the responsibility of delegates to register their details with a LSE steward at the end of the event and as of 1 September 2014 a certificate will be sent within 28 days of the date of the event attended by the CPD Certification Service.  If a delegate fails to register their details at the event, it will not prove possible to issue a certificate.
