Visualising International Politics: student documentary films

LSE Arts public exhibition

Date: Monday 11 January - Friday 29 January 2016
Time:  Mon-Friday, 10am-8pm
Venue: Atrium Gallery, Old Building

In ‘Visual International Politics’ class, International Relations students didn’t just watch movies – they make their own films. This exhibit displays their six films, which range from topical issues such as the battle for public space in the post-9/11 era to enduring themes such as what does it mean to be British Asian.

This exhibition is organised by Professor William A Callahan and sponsored by LSE’s Department of International Relations.

Suggested hashtag for this event for Twitter users: #VisualisingIR

This exhibition is open to all, no ticket required. Visitors are welcome during weekdays (Monday - Friday) between 10am and 8pm (excluding bank holidays, when the school is closed, at Christmas and Easter, or unless otherwise stated on the web listing).

For further information email arts@lse.ac.uk or phone 020 7955 6043.

Just economics and politics? Think again. While LSE does not teach arts or music, there is a vibrant cultural side to the School - from weekly free music concerts in the Shaw Library, and an LSE orchestra and choir with their own professional conductors, various film, art and photographic student societies, the annual LSE photo prize competition, the LSE Literary Festival and artist-in-residence projects. For more information please view the LSE Arts website.

From time to time there are changes to event details so we strongly recommend that if you plan to attend this event you check back on this listing on the day of the event.
