Join Salman Khan as he tells the inspiring story of how the Khan Academy came to be and shares his thoughts on what education could be like in the future. The lecture will be chaired by Rohan Silva, Senior Policy Adviser to the Prime Minister. Professor Martin Bean, Vice-Chancellor of the Open University, will respond to Khan's lecture.

Salman Khan is the founder and executive director of the Khan Academy, a nonprofit organization on a mission to provide "a free world-class education for anyone anywhere." Khan was listed in Fortune's annual "40 under 40," which recognizes business's hottest rising stars, as well as Fast Company's list of the "100 Most Creative People in Business." Khan was also recently profiled in "60 Minutes," featured on the cover of Forbes, and recognized by Time as one of the 100 most influential people in the world.

For delegates who wish to obtain a CPD Certificate of Attendance, it is the responsibility of delegates to register their details with a LSE steward at the end of the event and as of 1 September 2014 a certificate will be sent within 28 days of the date of the event attended by the CPD Certification Service. If a delegate fails to register their details at the event, it will not prove possible to issue a certificate.
