Let's Get Europe Moving

LSE European Institute in association with Centre d'Etude et de Prospective Stratégique (CEPS) book launch

Date: Thursday 7 March 2013
Time: 6.30-8pm
Venue:  Thai Theatre, New Academic Building
Speakers: Peter Sutherland,  Loïc Tribot La Spière
Chair: Dr Waltraud Schelkle

Europe has come to a standstill. For lack of political courage of national governments, CEPS has published a unique platform of propositions for the EU. More than forty decision makers contributed to this collective work: entrepreneurs, EU's officials, personalities from the academic or the associative world. It is the civil society making forward-looking reform propositions to bring Europeans closer to Europe and to give a new vision to this historical project that is our future!

Peter Sutherland is chairman of the LSE Court of Governors and Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary General for Migration. He is a former EU commissioner and director general of the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Loïc Tribot La Spière is director general of CEPS, Centre d'Etude et de Prospective Stratégique.
