Why isn't evidence-based policy making working? This lecture looks at examples from Californian schools, the Bangladesh nutrition programme and proposals to tackle climate change.
Nancy Cartwright is professor of philosophy at the Department of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method, LSE and at the University of California, San Diego.
