While neighbouring countries have seen unprecedented popular protests, Saudi Arabia has so far avoided a major show of discontent. But there are signs of domestic turbulence on the horizon.
Madawi Al-Rasheed is professor of social anthropology at the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at King's College London.
