In 15 years as a foreign correspondent for the Guardian and Observer, Jason Burke has reported on many of the key events in the Middle East and South Asia. He is the author of two widely praised books, Al-Qaeda and On the Road to Kandahar, the former of which is widely recognised as the first book to accurately asses the terrorist group. His latest book The 9/11 Wars is published by Penguin.
