The main theme of this forum is Chinese Financial Reform and 'Sustainable Economic Development Under the Global Crisis'. New perspectives on what we can learn from China and what China might learn from the global financial crisis will be discussed.

Liao Min is director-general of the Executive Department, China Banking Regulatory Commission.

Richard Portes is professor of economics at London Business School.

Danny Quah is professor of economics at LSE.

Xiao Gang Tian is minister councilor of education section, Chinese Embassy to the UK.

Shujie Yao is chair of contemporary Chinese studies at the University of Nottingham.
