What is China doing to combat climate change? What challenges are China confronted with in addressing climate change? How China is tackling climate change through international cooperation? Chinese Ambassador Mme FU Ying will share with us China's perspectives on climate change.
H.E. Mme. Fu Ying was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the UK in April 2007. Madam Fu Ying was Director-General of Department of Asian Affairs for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs between 2000-2003. Prior to this she has served in various positions including Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of the Philippines and various positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Madam Fu Ying is a University graduate and holder of an Honorary Doctorate in Civil Law.
Professor Stuart Corbridge is Professor of Development Studies and Head of DESTIN and a Member of the Asia Research Centre Management Committee.
This event is organised in cooperation with the Confucius Institute for Business London.
