Linda Melvern is an investigative journalist and author. A world expert on the 1994 genocide in Rwanda, she was a consultant to the prosecution team at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda in the military one case. She is an Honorary Professor of the Department of International Politics (University of Wales - Aberystwyth).

Crafts will be on sale from a number of Rwandan cooperatives with all profits going to the work of rYico. Donations to rYico will also be very welcome. rYico works to support and empower vulnerable young people in Rwanda. Through Centre Marembo in Kigali, it provides educational and training opportunities to young people who have been orphaned, neglected or find themselves in challenging circumstances, many as a result of the 1994 genocide.
