LSESU China Development Forum is the first China-Theme forum in London run by students. It aims to create a platform to exchange ideas about China on her complex yet exciting circumstances, and to promote a better understanding of China in the western society.

2009 is destined to be a critical year to China's economy. Global economic slowdown, sharp rise in food and energy prices and the volatile financial markets, tremendous opportunities and threats lie ahead for China's post-Olympics economy. This year's forum as China 2009, the Critical Point of China's Economy aims to provide students, scholars and professionals a platform to exchange ideas and to share wisdom. This forum will form the first major Chinese economy related conference at LSE.

This event is sponsored by Confucius Institute for Business London and LSE Economics Department.

This event is open to all however registration is required. The following fees apply: pre-registration: £12 CDS members, £15 academics, £65 professionals; at the door: £25 academics, £80 professionals.
