Power without glory: UN contributions to economic and social thinking and practice

LSE Lecture Series: The United Nations at 60 - relic or relevant?

Sir Richard Jolly is a former Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations and current co-director of the UN Intellectual History Project. During his time at the UN he held senior positions in both UNICEF and UNDP. Before joining the United Nations he was for nine years director of the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) at the University of Sussex. He is a former Chairman of the UN Association of the United Kingdom.

This event is hosted jointly by LSE's Centre for the Study of Global Governance, Development Studies Institute, International Relations department, the Ralph Miliband Programme and supported by LSE Annual Fund.

The final event in the series will take place on Thursday 30 November. Dr. Edwin J. Feulner will present a lecture entitled 'Real Reform at the United Nations|'.

This event is free and open to all with no ticket required. Entry is on a first come, first served basis.
