Legal systems and courts have a potentially enormous impact on the functioning of an economy. This lecture will focus on the economic rationale for court intervention in contractual disputes, and on the role of the legal system within which courts operate.

Professor Luca Anderlini is BP visiting professor at LSE and professor of economics at Georgetown University.
