A look at some of the key issues affecting the design and nature of the dwelling and how they relate to changing social, economic and political trends in Britain and the continent. 

Kees Christiaanse is one of Holland's most active urban and residential masterplanners.  He developed the concept of 'city as loft' to respond to the need for housing growth.
