The role of international criminal prosecutions in reconstructing divided communities

The lecture will examine the impact of prosecution of war crimes on the restoration of peace and promotion of reconciliation in the former Yugoslavia as one of the chief objectives of the ICTY's mission.

Carla Del Ponte has been a chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia since September 1999.
