America's new fiscal mess: Prof Krugman argues that the U.S. fiscal position has deteriorated with remarkable speed. On the surface, it looks bad; on closer examination, it looks worse.
Paul Krugman is Professor of Economics and International Affairs at Princeton University, and also a regular columnist for the New York Times. His most recent book is Fuzzy Math: The Essential Guide to the Bush Tax Plan.
