This lecture, given by one of the world's leading neurologists, will explore the mystery of consciousness and is based Antonio Damasio's latest book The Feeling of What Happens: body, emotion and the making of consciousness. Professor Damasio brings together a unique degree of philosophical and poetic imagination with the insights of years spent in the lab and with patients.

Antonio Damasio is Professor of Neurology at the University of Iowa, author of numerous professional articles and publications, and of Descartes' Error: emotion, reason and the human brain, which establishes the centrality of the emotions for successful deciding.
