1. Philosophy Department Travel Grant
The Philosophy Department offers travel bursaries of up to £200 per student per year (these are for students in the Department only!). In order to eligible, students have to meet the following conditions:
(a) They must give a paper at a conference.
(b) They need their first supervisor's approval.
(c) They must have apply first to the School for assistance from the 'Postgraduate Travel Fund' via the School Financial support Office and then to the department if unsuccessful, or if they cannot cover their expenses with a School grant.
Applications should be made to the Departmental Manger. Please note that reimbursements can only be made following production of receipts.
2. LSE Postgraduate Travel Fund
The LSE Postgraduate Travel Fund is open to PhD students who have been invited to give a paper at the conference related to their research degree. Students will not normally be assisted with more than one conference per academic year. For more information about the grant and how to apply click here
3. Analysis Trust
The Analysis Trust supports travel to philosophy conferences. In order to gain support from the Trust, a conference should be analytic in spirit, i.e. the papers to be given should be similar in style to papers published in Analysis.The conference must be so organized that attendance at the conference is not by invitation only, or restricted to members of particular institutions. 4. University of London Central Research Fund
The University of London offers research grants which may also cover travelling expenses and the cost of additional maintenance, i.e. the cost over and above the cost of normal maintenance at home. For more information about the grant and how to apply click here
