Careers news

We're open all summer!

This is our last newsletter for 2016/17 but did you know we're open all summer, offering events (see below for a selection), one-to-one appointments and more? We can help with anything careers related - even if you're not sure what that might be yet!

How travelling can help you reflect on your career

As the summer holidays approach, get some inspiration from LSE alum Rosie Coleman (BSc in International Relations 2013) on how travelling can help you make decisions on everything from what your career interests are to which job(s) to go for!

Your guides to writing CVs, cover letters and application forms

Exams are over soon and if you're getting your CVs in shape and drafting cover letters and applications then we can help! We have lots of resources including online guides, events, one-to-one appointments, as well as advice on our blog.

What can you do on CareerHub?

LSE CareerHub is your gateway to our careers events, appointments, the organisations we work with, and our vacancy board including volunteering opportunities. If you've not had a chance to have a look round, now's the time as there are lots of things to fill your summer with!

Volunteer Centre round-up

it's Volunteers' Week across the UK and we want to give a huge shout out to all the LSE students that volunteer. You make a difference every day through the donation of your time. Volunteering should be prized says LSE alumnus, Bobak Saadat, now working for, and we couldn’t agree more!

We'll continue advertising opportunities over the summer and you’d like support with choosing the right one for you, email with your questions or book an appointment with us. Are you volunteering overseas this summer? Join us on Monday to ensure that you make the most of it.

To sign up to the Volunteer Centre's monthly newsletter, select 'volunteering' under types of work on your CareerHub preferences page.
