Workshop - Maximising Research Impact in Adult Social Care

Thursday 4 October 2012, 10.00 - 16.00

The NIHR School for Social Care Research is one of the leading funders of research into adult social care practice in England. Since 2009 we have commissioned over 46 research studies, 18 reviews of methods and 6 evidence scoping studies.

It is important for all of our funded research to be able to support new developments in adult social care practice and policy. Equally important is supporting our social care research colleagues to explore how to maximise the impact from their research and to achieve this in practice. This workshop endeavours to address some of the key issues in doing so, and provide guidance to maximise research impact in adult social care. We welcome participation at this workshop from, among others, researchers and those trying to achieve impact, and research users.
