Russia's Choices: the Duma elections and after

Pavel Erochkine, Robert Skidelsky (eds)
The Centre for Global Studies (10 November 2003)

This book analyses the positions of the main Russian political parties. Russia's Choice has been scheduled to be published a month before the December 2003 Parliamentary elections in Russia and will be an invaluable source of information on the Russian political landscape before and after the elections.

The book features most of the Russian political heavy-weights - Grigory Yavlinsky (leader of Yabloko), Boris Nemtsov (leader of Union of Rightist Forces), Vladimir Zhirinovsky (leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia) and Genadiy Zuganov (leader of the Communist Party of Russia). There are also chapters by Professor Lord Skidelsky, Pavel Erochkine and William Flemming as well as a data appendix.

The aim of the book is to show our readers what choices Russia has in economic, social and foreign policy.

  • Pavel Erochkine is research officer at the Centre for Global Studies.
  • Lord Skidelsky is visiting research fellow at LSE's Centre for the Study of Global Governance.
