LSE was ranked third in the Guardian newspaper University Guide 2009, published today (Thursday 1 May). Oxford and Cambridge headed the rankings, with LSE's third position putting it ahead of Warwick, St Andrews and Imperial.
In the top ten subject tables, LSE ranked second in Politics and Social Policy, third in Anthropology, Economics and History, seventh in Philosophy, eighth in Sociology and ninth in History.
