Labour must join forces with other parties to stand a chance against a Tory takeover, argues LSE professor

If Labour is to stand any chance of resisting a long-term Tory hegemony, it is going to have to build a new progressive alliance with the Lib Dems, Greens and other smaller parties, argues Patrick Dunleavy| (pictured right) in an article for Red Pepper magazine.

As a first step, the party have to move quickly to renew democratic legitimacy through constitutional and electoral reform, he explains in the article, which has been circulated at this year's Labour Party conference, which finishes on Wednesday 24 September.
